Hey all, welcome to MGL. We have a cool feature that links your discord and forums roles together. This now eliminates the hassle of getting roles manually approved and instead is now 100% in sync!

1. Join the MGL discord server - https://discord.gg/the-mgl

2. Head on over to your profile settings and go to 'Connected accounts' - https://the-mgl.com/account/connected-accounts/ ⚙️



3. Click the Associate with Discord button 🔑



4. Click Authorise on the Discord application 🤝



5. Re-enter your forum password and click Associate 🤙

And that's it, your forum account and discord are now linked!

Is your connected page saying that you've linked your discord+forum and still don't have any discord tags? - Have a look at this troubleshoot guide:

Discord linked the wrong forum account

Make sure you've linked with the correct forum account, it happens. Sometimes you link up the wrong forum account because two were made.

Discord linked the wrong discord account

Make sure you've linked with the correct discord account. Not many but some people have additional discord accounts, check if you've linked the correct one. You can see this by going onto Discord Settings -> Authorised Apps -> Check if MGL bot is there. If the MGL bot is not there then you've not linked the correct discord account.

User hasn’t confirmed their email on the forum

When you sign up, an email will be sent to the email address provided on register. Click on the email that says confirm email, you click a link within that email and it will confirm the account. You can re-send another confirmation email by going onto the MGL forum and there will be a box saying re-send email.

Rare chance where they’ve linked the correct discord+forum and still no tags

Go onto connected page on forum (https://the-mgl.com/account/connected-accounts/), click de auth. Then go onto discord settings ~> authorised apps ~> and then delete mgl. And re discord link again. Double check its the correct forum account and correct discord account.

🔨 Forum Registration Improvements 🔨​

Hi all, just an update on making the forum easy for all. I've coded the registration to only allow users to register via Discord. This will automatically link your forum + discord account together. So therefore, will eliminate discord linking being a problem after creating your forum account.​

Here's how it works:

1. Player joins the MGL Discord server.

2. Player signs up to the forum by clicking the Discord button
🔗 https://the-mgl.com/login/register​

Those that are already registered before this update STILL need to do the Discord Linking.​

Updates to Forum Linking

Due to new changes in Season 3 and onwards. Forum linking is not required as a player in our league. If you want to be a manager, this is still required.

If you want discord tags such as your team and premium tags, you will have the forum link. We do not manually give discord tags anymore unless it is for awards.
